Anonymous asked: It's weird. I check on you pretty often, even if we don't speak anymore. It's not even because I want to, it's just habit. I always hope and pray for your well being and happiness. I hope you're doing well.

Answer:

I’m doing very well. Thanks for your concern.

The truth is,

tedeezy:

we don’t get to choose who we fall for. They may mistreat us, ignore us or hurt us, but we stay with them. Why? It’s not because we’re stupid or we enjoy getting hurt, It’s because we can see the good in them, it’s because despite all the arguments, they are the ones who make us feel a certain way that no one else can & we value that feeling, & because our brains won’t allow them to leave our minds, & our hearts won’t allow them to leave our lives.

And most of the time, that isn’t what’s best for us.

Don’t promise me forever.

tamianguyen:

You can promise me a long time, or a while, but don’t promise me forever. I’d like forever, that is, if it existed but it doesn’t. Shortly, “Forever and always” turns into “A little bit and sometimes” and I’ll ask what happen and the answer will always be the same. Don’t let me get my hopes up.

Let’s keep one thing in mind. Most relationships are just a cycle. It starts with the Honeymoon Stage, then you slowly transition into the calm stage before the tension building begins. Soon after, an incident occurs. After all that you’re right back at the Honeymoon Stage. Don’t promise forever if you really mean “at the moment”.
